Free Popcorn and Big Watermelons

I moved to Kentucky recently, and I decided to check out the store Rural King. Rural King has farming and home supplies. I park the car, and as I am walking into the store, this is what I see.

WHAT???? Huge watermelons!

Okay, so that was pretty cool. Now, I get inside, and they have cute little shopping carts for kids, and they also give away free coffee and popcorn to snack on while you shop.

Free popcorn.

I picked up some cute Christmas wrapping paper and found some fun stocking stuffers for the kids. Chicken feet gummies!

The store had a ton of cool food products, including a line of jarred food that appeared to be their brand. These would make cute gifts.

This place also sells cute baby chicks, and you can even visit their mascot rooster.

I enjoyed my visit to this unique store and will be taking the kids to check it out next time. (The employees were friendly also.)

Fun Holiday Finds

I love trying new holiday products, whether its food, drinks, candles, etc.. I am a pumpkin spice enthusiast and love the new Starbucks pumpkin cold brew. I recently found this Starbucks pumpkin spice creamer at Wal-Mart Marketplace. Yum! We have a winner. I also picked up pumpkin spice english muffins.

I love shopping at Aldi because they have new items every week. It is fun to see what new items we will find. They have mega holiday flavored items. YES! The kids did a taste review on a few items. Check it out.

Here are some of our Aldi finds recently. Comment and share your cool Holiday finds.

I picked up pumpkin pecan oatmeal, harvest bagels, pumpkin spiced whipped cream candle, pumpkin spice spreadable cheese, caramel apple spreadable cheese, pumpkin pie hummus, caramel apple sparkling juice, and pumpkin butternut squash sauce.

Coolest Grocery Store Ever!

The kids and I went to a baseball game in Cincinnati, and while we were there, we checked out Jungle Jim’s International Market. This place is amazing. We did not have time to see everything, so we plan on going back. The store has different sections with food from different countries. My daughter and I are pretty sure the music changed in each area also. There is a small movie theater that plays the story of Jungle Jim’s and multiple little food stores attached to the market. There is a whole section just for hot sauce, including a life-size fire truck display. The fish is fresh as it is still swimming in the tanks. The entire place is just fun.

If you want to check it out here is the link. https://junglejims.com/departments/

A yummy treat from one of the stores attached to the market. This is a cupcake shake.. Ummm. yum!

We are going to boo our neighbors.

We have been booing our neighbors/people for the last few years, and it is so much fun. Basically, you put together a little goodie basket and ding dong ditch your neighbors (make sure they are home). You can customize it if you know how many kids they have or if they have a dog. I added some soap from Meyers and lots of little goodies from Target’s one spot. The “You’ve been booed!” signs are all over the internet. Print out a sign and have some fun!

I made a desk from a closet door.

One of our desks was damaged when we moved. I tried to find a desk that was made for two people, but was having a hard time. I wanted a desk that was 80 inches wide to fit the space perfectly. When I was at Habitat for Humanity, I found a closet door, and it was almost the perfect width.

I painted the desk with chalkboard paint that I got from Wal-mart for about $10.00. I used six screw-on legs (stained black) and the mounts from Lowes. I did use some support brackets underneath because of the length and amount of junk I will probably put on it. I am really happy with the outcome.
